I’m Sandy Helfrich, a La Crosse, Wisconsin portrait photographer with 17 years of experience photographing families, children and high school seniors throughout the Coulee Region.

As a wife, mother, sister, daughter, and friend, I know how quickly family life changes. My own children are grown now, building careers and finding their way through college, and I understand in a deeper way how precious each season really is.

My work is centered on connection over perfection. I don’t believe your family portraits need to feel stiff or overly posed to be beautiful. I want your portraits to feel like you: relaxed, meaningful, and full of the relationships that make your family yours.

While I have a small studio space that works beautifully for headshots, baby portraits and more intimate sessions, I’m especially drawn to photographing families outdoors. The natural beauty of La Crosse and the Coulee Region gives families room to relax, move, play, and connect, and that ease always shows in the final portraits.
